One of my favorite activities is to go to the library. I like books of course, but the best parts are getting to go in the cave and walking up and down the stairs! Luckily for me, Daddy takes me to the library almost every time Mommy has a doctor's appointment to check on baby brother! Mommy keeps saying she is going to start taking me to story time - but hasn't yet! Hopefully we will start going next week.

Valentine's Cookies
Tonight Mommy and I baked and decorated Valentine's Cookies! I had a blast decorating and of course eating the icing and sprinkles!
Didn't I do a great job decorating?

Getting Bigger
I went to the doctor on Tuesday for my 2 year check up. They said I was looking good. I'm a little on the small side with regard to my weight but I'm in the 75% in height (how did that happen?) The doctor said I needed to start drinking from a regular cup now and not just a sippy cup (Mom was a little worried about this). Mom started giving me a regular cup at the table for lunch and dinner and so far I have done excellent! I can drink out of it just fine and not spill it! Now if only I could get the potty training down...

Playing in the Grass
Yes, there is grass in the desert - not a lot of it - but there is some! Mommy took these pictures of me at the park the other day:
And my new favorite thing to play with is playdough! I love it!

Big Girl Bed
Monday, Mommy changed my crib into a toddler bed. Then we went to Target to buy a new bedding set for my big girl bed. I love my puppy and kitty bedspread!
I've done really well sleeping in my big girl bed so far. Last night Mommy told me it was time for night-night and I got real excited and said "big girl bed?" I couldn't wait to sleep in it!
Mommy also cleaned out the closet to make room for my baby brother since we will be sharing for a little while. We need to get some art work for the walls and get a new crib and bedding for my little brother and we will be all set!
And just for fun, Mommy came out of the computer room this afternoon to find me and the kitty snuggled together asleep on the couch - how cute are we?

My Birthday Weekend in San Diego
I turned 2 on Saturday and to celebrate, Mommy and Daddy took me to spend the weekend in San Diego! We had so much fun and I was such a good girl during the whole trip!
Friday we left in the morning at got to San Diego at lunch time. We met up with Daddy's friend, Ronnie, and went to eat Mexican food. Then we when to Balboa Park to the Fleet Science Museum (sorta like mid america with interactive exhibits). We played around there for a couple of hours then we watch my first IMAX movie- the Amazon. I was pretty good through the first part, but started to get a little bored at the end. But I liked the part where it looked like I was flying! Afterwards we checked into the Hotel and hung out a little with Ronnie and his wife, Hong. They took us to eat dinner at Roy's Hawaiian Fusion Restaurant. It was quite fancy! All of us had 3 course dinners! I got an appetizer plate with a cheese quesadilla, veggie sticks, and grapes. Then for dinner I got pasta with butter and cheese. But my favorite part was the very fancy dessert - an ice cream sundae:
Saturday morning we got up and went to the San Diego Zoo! We took the bus tour and I even liked that - I was excited to be riding on the top of the double decker bus. Here I am riding the bus with Daddy:
Then we walked around and looked at all the animals - I liked the Pandas and the elephants best! Here I am playing at the zoo:
I got to pick out a stuffed panda for my birthday - I loved it and hugged it the rest of the day. After the zoo, Mommy and I went back to the hotel to relax a little bit since we were so tired - but I was still too excited to nap.
Then we went to eat dinner at a Greek restaurant with Ronnie, Hong, and Mommy's friend from college, Bryan (its crazy how you can move halfway across the country and still know so many people!). It was delicious! Then it was off to bed - what a long day.
Mommy still does not have a new or a fixed camera so all these photos are off of the iphone - sorry they are not the best quality!
